Francesa reports that a British boy who was found on the highway in the early hours of the morning after seven years says he was the victim of sexual abuse.
It has been a harrowing journey for 17-year-old Alex Batty since he traveled to Spain in 2017 with his mother and horse, as he has been missing ever since. However, there is finally a glimmer of hope for him as he is set to return to the United Kingdom on Saturday (16), thanks to the efforts of the French police.
On Friday, French police made a shocking revelation, stating that British teenager Alex Batty, who had been missing since 2017, was found in France on Thursday (14) and had reported suffering sexual abuse as a child. This revelation has only added to the turmoil surrounding his disappearance.
After seven long years of being missing, Batty will finally be reunited with his home country on Saturday (16). The circumstances of his discovery are quite extraordinary. It was a delivery man who stumbled upon him in the south of France. The main suspect in his disappearance is none other than his own mother.
According to British police, his mother had lost custody of him at the time of his disappearance. French police even suspected that she had fled to Finland. The woman was interviewed by the police, but it remains undisclosed whether Alex informed them about the abuse he claims to have suffered as a child.
It was the delivery man, Accidini, who first encountered the young man. He found him on a highway during the early hours of the morning. Recounting the incident, Accidini told the French television network TF1 that he spotted the teenager skateboarding along the coast early in the morning, carrying a light and a backpack.
However, it seems that the young man had reached out for help. In the United Kingdom, Alex asked Accidini to send a message to his aunt, expressing his desire to return home. The message read, “Well, my dear, I am Alex. I am in Toulouse, France. I would be very grateful if you could get this message. I love you.” The text highlighted his longing to go back home.
Recognizing that the boy was not French, Accidini inquired about how he had ended up in that particular location. Upon hearing a brief account of the young man’s story, Accidini took him and his horse to the local police. The police were able to verify the English teenager’s identity and subsequently initiated the necessary procedures for his repatriation.
In a startling revelation, it was revealed that Alex had previously been found during a trip to Malaga, Spain with his mother Melanie and grandfather David when he was just 11 years old. Susan, Alex’s grandfather, came forward to report that it was actually his own daughter who had orchestrated the kidnapping. In an interview with the BBC, Susan alleged that Melanie did not have legal custody of Alex and that she had gone into labor with the horse.
The whereabouts of Alex’s mother and father remain unknown, leaving many questions unanswered. The journey this young boy has endured is a testament to the resilience of the human spirit. Finally, after years of longing and uncertainty, Alex will soon find solace as he returns to his home country, where he will hopefully be able to find the support and care he needs to heal from the traumatic experiences he has endured.
